Inexpensive tube at inexpensive price

I got the "heatwave ii" tube, which seems to be quite similar to the Airhead Griffin 2, but cost $120 less ($179 vs $299 as of this review).

You can tell that this isn't a premium tube:

- the cover is strong but relatively thin

- the vinyl bladder inside the tube is nothing to write home about

- valves are your typical river tube valves (one big one for the tube and a small one for the divider between two riders

Also, the valves on the bladder don't quite line up with openings in the cover once the tube is inflated.

That said, both rider pads are comfortable, handles are strong and the tube is rated for 340lbs (which is typical) and you are saving $120. Also, the center divider and the "wings" definitely help keep kids in place.

Kids are very excited to try this tube once the lakes get warmer. I'll update this review if the tube fails prematurely (yes I really will!). Hope this helps!!
